ParticipantI want to see the letter from mid 1970 when the Church leaders designated Monday as the night to hold FHE. No other Church meetings were to be planned or held on Monday. I think that Monday night FHE was started in September 1970. Does anyone know the exact date, or the date of the letter? Thanks!

ParticipantThanks so much for doing the primary logos in French for me, I really appreciate all the time you spend on this site, it makes my calling so much more fun and easy. I am excited to put up our bulletin board for the Belgian kids today!

ParticipantMy secretary (stake R.S.) and I want to know if the quarterly–yearly activity reports from the wards and then compiled and submitted to the stake historian have been done away with. We found nothing written in the new manual.

ParticipantUmmm. Is there a video attached I’m just not seeing? I would love to have this!

ParticipantUse fabric. MOst people use banner paper as their background color. One of the many complaints is unsightly bulletin boards. After the pictures and announcements are taken down, the board looks like it has a bad case of pox. Instead, try using a simple patterned and nuetral colored fabric. You can staple the edges so that the fabric is tight and cover the edges with regular paper borders of your choice. You can change it out every couple of months, or whenever you wish. You can keep the background and change the border and accents to go with the seasons is you wish.

ParticipantCould anyone suggest where I could get a copy of the talk entitled you only live once. I had it on cassette for many years and the cover had the silhouette of a man cliff diving If anyone knows this talk and can point me in the right direction that would be great.

ParticipantI am the secretary for the primary in my ward. I am always concerned about running things by the book (church handbook). The Sacrament meeting outline has the class manuals outlined as well as the church handbook #2 and there is no longer a CTR 8 class. The classes are Sunbeams, CTR 4-7, Valiant 8-11. Check it out in the book. There have also been minor changes to the way attendance and records are reported. Of course, that is more for those secretaries out there pulling their hair out trying to figure out which children are on record and which are not.
By the way, this is a wonderful site.Anonymous User
ParticipantJenny is right. It does state in the new 2011 handbook.

ParticipantThis is all very interesting. When is it supposed to start? It’s January and many of thes changes (like no music time in RS, and primary changes) haven’t happened in our ward.

ParticipantShe is correct. Those are all of the changes we found as well. We heard about them at the end of last year and the changes were reinforced in the handbook. I like them all.
