We are looking for an awesome service project for camp but can’t quite figure out what yours was. Making hats? Exactly how was it done? Where did you donate them?

This request is four years old now but is still relevant so here are my ideas. We did an evening of music and the spoken word where it was all set in the time of Christ. The food that was served were dates, figs, grapes, olives, pita bread shards, hummus dips and grape juice. It was very ynmmy :) The other one was an actual wedding feast as it was part of a 3 hour “fill your lamp” Stake RS activity based around, and concluded with “the ten virgins” musical fireside by Emily Freeman. We had the sisters enter the hall after their wedding preperation workshops (each carrying the small lamp they had made). The hall was set up with 3 beautifully decorated tables running along the back. The big centrepiece held 5 white wedding cakes (representing the 5 wise). Yhen we had baskets of dried and fresh fruits, nuts and a drink. Other ideas are to have subway type wraps with cream cheese, ham and salad cut up on a platter and a grape juice fountain. Depends on your budget.

Hi,
I was just called to be the Primary secretary in a ward that hasn’t had one for a while, so I am trying to get everything up to date and organized. I was asked to make a Sharing Time Class presentation schedule but thought I had heard somewhere that the church had changed that….that classes were to no longer teach sharing time once a month. However when I googled it to double check all I could find was this reference one your site. I followed the link you posted in the beginning just to confirm and show the primary presidency, but I can’t find where is explains the class presentations being cut. Can you help me? THanks!

Whenever I see someone less virtuous than I, and let’s face it, who isn’t less virtuous than I, my tender heart tends to start to bleed, and when someone needs a makeover I simply have to take over. I know, I know exactly what they need. And even in your case, though it’s the toughest case I’ve yet to face, don’t worry; I’m determined to succeed. Follow my lead, and, yes, indeed, you will be virtuous. You’re gonna be virtuous. I’ll teach you the way to pray when you start your day, little ways to learn and grow. I’ll show you what clothes to wear so that boys won’t stare, everything you need to know. Virtuous. We know about virtuous. You’ll hang with the right cohorts, you’ll wear knee-length shorts, and you’ll want your pals to know. So let’s start cuz you’ve got an awfully long way to go. Don’t be offended by my frank analysis.Think of it as spirituality dialysis. Now that I’ve decided to become a pal, a sister and a teacher, …
Virtuous. We’ll help you be virtuous. It’s all about aptitude, not the way you’re viewed, so it’s very shrewd to be very, very virtuous like we. La, la, la, la, you’re gonna be virtuous. When I see depressing creatures with disgusting moral features we remind them on their own they must choose wisely. You can think of modern prophets, especially great communicators. Did they have brains and knowledge? Matter of fact, they were virtuous. It’s all about virtuous. It’s all about aptitude, not the way your viewed, so it’s very shrewd to be very, very virtuous like we. And, though you protest …
good works show who you’ll be. You’re gonna grin and bear it, you’re new-found integrity. La, la, la, la, you’ll be virtuous. Just not quite as virtuous as we.

I really LOVE this theme, music, and everything about it. Could I get any and all information about what you did in camp. Where did you get the shirts and the design? I would love to use this for our camp this year. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Where does it say PEC is to be 30 minutes?

I know this is an old thread…but I can’t see anything in the new handbook about primary quarterly activities either. Has anyone else wondered about this or have any insight?

What was the humanitarian service project?

At the World Wide Training Meeting, at which time leaders were given the new handbook, we were also instructed not to make copies of any portion of the handbook or distibute portions of it. This site is not a church authorized site and so those quoting portions of the handbook, or copying sections to this online site are out of line and directly disregarding the instruction we received in that meeting at the time we were all (World Wide) given the handbooks. If someone has a question about the handbook they should be going to their priesthood leaders in their own ward or branch, not to online unauthorized sources.

I can’t find anywhere in the handbook where it states that Relief Society secretaries do not attend meetings where a presidency is mentioned, or that they don’t conduct meetings or teach lessons. Can you point me to the page in the handbook that mentions this? Thanks!

There also is no mention of Board Meetings in Primary. No mention of Teacher Training other than the Presidency is responsible.

There used to be a Welfare Committee meeting that was held, usually monthly. That meeting is no longer held.

I’m not familiar with group Visiting Teaching. What is that? That’s not the same as having a companion right?
