Song: We’ll Bring The World His Truth (V1)

Downloaded from: http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2013/03/song-well-bring-world-his-truth-v1.html Verses 2 and 3 will follow in another post. For this song, I created a flipchart with words and no associated learning activity. This is because, although I am using the song as the March program song, many choristers will just want to sing it as an extra.  If you want the pictures without words, feel free to copy and paste the images below into your own format!…

When He Comes Again

Downloaded from: http://intheleafytreetopsthebirdssing.blogspot.com/2013/03/when-he-comes-again.html Easter is sneaking in a little early this year, so I’m sure many have already started adding in some Easter songs in their repertoire. If you click on the Easter link on the side bar under “This ‘n That”, there are a couple of other Easter flip charts as well as some ideas. One of my favorites, in my long list of favorites, is “When He Comes Again”. This is REALLY…

1 Corinthians 3, Ye Are The Temple Of God: Milk And Morality

Downloaded from: http://brosimonsays.wordpress.com/2013/03/09/1-corinthians-3-ye-are-the-temple-of-god-milk-and-morality/ ELDER DAVID A. BEDNAR: “The choices we make about the use of our personal temples will affect us throughout all eternity. “Because the physical body is so central to the Father’s plan of happiness and our spiritual development, we should not be surprised that Lucifer seeks to thwart our progression by enticing us to use our bodies improperly. It is to me one of the ultimate ironies of eternity that the adversary, who is miserable because he has no physical body and therefore cannot progress, seeks to make us miserable “like unto himself” (2 Ne. 2:27) through the improper use of our bodies. The very tool he does not have and cannot use thus is the primary instrument through which he attempts to lure us to spiritual destruction. “Our physical bodies indeed are temples of God. Consequently, you and I must carefully consider what we take into our temple, what we put on our temple, what we do to our temple, and what we do with our temple. And we can learn a number of important lessons by comparing the Church’s temples to our physical bodies as temples.” (Ye Are the Temple of God) Filed under: New Testament, Seminary Tagged: 1 Corinthians, Bible, Body, Builders, Chastity, DAB, Defile, Destroy, Education, Foundation, FSOY, […]

1 Corinthians 1-2, A Voice Of Warning: It’S All Greek To Me!

Downloaded from: http://brosimonsays.wordpress.com/2013/03/09/1-corinthians-1-2-a-voice-of-warning-its-all-greek-to-me/ What did it mean if someone called you a Corinthian? Corinth of Paul’s time was not the ancient Greek city but rather a Roman colony founded by decree of Julius Caesar in 44 B.C. on the ancient site, which had lain virtually desolate for more than a century. Its new population initially consisted of freedmen […]

Romans 14-16, Strengthening Your Weakest Link

Downloaded from: http://brosimonsays.wordpress.com/2013/03/09/romans-14-16-strengthening-your-weakest-link/ ELDER DALLIN H. OAKS: “As a General Authority, it is my responsibility to preach general principles. When I do, I don’t try to define all the exceptions. There are exceptions to some rules. For example, we believe the commandment is not violated by killing pursuant to a lawful order in an armed conflict. But don’t ask me to give an opinion on your exception. I only teach…

Romans 13, How To Stay Out Of Trouble: 3 L’S

Downloaded from: http://brosimonsays.wordpress.com/2013/03/09/romans-13-how-to-stay-out-of-trouble-3-ls/ ELDER DALLIN H. OAKS:  “The love of God does not supersede His laws and His commandments, and the effect of God’s laws and commandments does not diminish the purpose and effect of His love…. If anyone thinks that godly or parental love for an individual grants the loved one license to disobey the law, he or she does not understand either love or law.”

Romans 12, Paul’S Ehow For Dis-Covering The Saint In You!

Downloaded from: http://brosimonsays.wordpress.com/2013/03/09/romans-12-pauls-ehow-for-dis-covering-the-saint-in-you/ PRESIDENT HOWARD W. HUNTER: “The word saint does not mean that any of us is perfect. What it does mean is that we are all trying, all serving, and all vowing to stand firm in the faith.” ELDER QUENTIN L. COOK: “The word saint in Greek denotes ‘set apart, separate, [and] holy.’ If we are to be Saints in our day, we need to separate ourselves from evil conduct and destructive pursuits…

Romans 9-11, Election Of Grace: Who “Is Real” (Israel)?

Downloaded from: http://brosimonsays.wordpress.com/2013/03/09/romans-9-11-election-of-grace-who-is-real-israel/   President Boyd K. Packer: “The Lord is voting for me, and Lucifer is voting against me, but it is my vote that counts” In October of 1997 Elder Neal A. Maxwell visited our campus to speak in a devotional. Sister Bednar and I provided transportation to and from the Idaho Falls airport for Elder and Sister Maxwell, and we hosted them in our home for lunch. The time…

Romans 7-8, Remarried And Adopted: Bad Or Good News???

Downloaded from: http://brosimonsays.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/romans-7-8-remarried-and-adopted-bad-or-good-news/ President David O. McKay: ”The greatest battles of life are fought within the silent chambers of our own souls.” He wasn’t of particularly august origins. His natural father was a local from a town north of Rome, so he really didn’t have any great connections. He had met Caesar once. Caesar had obviously been impressed about some qualities that he saw in the young man for he adopted him…

Egg Shakers

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2013/03/egg-shakers.html Easy to make. I already had everything I needed lying around the house. Plastic eggs, rice, packing tape (best way to keep them closed… glue didn’t work out so well) and an empty egg container. Pass from class to class. Use them to shake the beat or the rhythm while you sing.

Easter Primary Singing Time – 3/31

Downloaded from: http://aprimarysingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/03/easter-primary-singing-time-331.html Here is my plan for Easter . . . (**updated to include some great ideas from the OCD Chorister, see next post!) I’ve assembled these ideas from a variety of sources at THIS Sugardoodle link.  They are pretty common, not much new here, but enjoy! I know most people like to use Easter Eggs to put their ‘object’ in, but I found these cute little favor boxes when…
