I’ve taken the t-shirt logo sheet from youth.lds.org, and turned it into a TRIPLE, and put it here for you to download. This format will help you make 3 t-shirts per sheet, instead of wasting paper printing just one per sheet. Yeah, I’m awesome like that. The image is available as a jpeg as well. Just click “Be strong” below. The image is copyright 2010 Intellectual Reserve. Free to print…

Kim A. says, “I attached a program I compiled for a mutual night activity, it could be adopted to be a YW New Beginnings.” Uses an ant theme like “excell-ants” or “obedie-ants” to teach valuable leadership characteristics. I think this would make a good leadership lesson theme or could possibly be adapted for YW in Excellence. 3 pages, 8.5 x 11 inches, color.

Brenda H. shared this script for a skit that uses the popular story The Wizard of Oz to teach about the virtues needed to attend the temple. The entire script is written in rhyme, which would make it very easy to memorize. In addition to Wizard of Oz costumes, you’ll need the following props: * Bean Bag with signs for obstacle * Temple Backdrop * Sign that says (Path of…

Kim A. says, “I attached a program where I gave a leadership lesson for the Stake YW leadership training and then gave them the FROG lesson to share as a mutual night or New Beginnings program.” This collection of ideas uses a frog theme and has lots of cute ideas for food and handouts. Also includes quotes and a leadership lesson. I think this might be altered for a cute…

Gina D. shared the skit she used for New Beginnings. Even though it’s written for the 2007 theme, it’s a simple skit that could easily be adjusted to fit any year’s theme. She also included her skit and program. You can find them by clicking on “new beginnings” below. 1 page, 8.5 x 11 inches, color.

I got inspired by the Relief Society Declaration Subway Art shared by a visitor and decided to try my hand at creating subway art, too. Mercy’s sake — it’s TIME CONSUMING! It took me about 3 hours to make this version of the Young Women’s theme in the subway art style. The image has nearly all the words of the theme on it. Since it took so long to make…

Cute candy bar wrapper has the young women’s values on it along with the words “raising the bar of righteousness”. I used a Hershey Milk Chocolate with Almonds 1.45 oz. bar. The labels don’t just “slip off” anymore on these size bars, so just fit the label over the top.

Amy M. shared these beautiful bookmarks that her unit is using for New Beginnings relating to the theme they’ve chosen: “For our 2008 New Beginnings, we are using Sister Julie B. Beck’s talk: ‘What Latter-Day Saint Women Do Best: Stand Strong and Immovable,’ and also Elder Russell Ballard’s Dec 1993 Ensign article ‘Steadfast in Christ’ which says, ‘Just as ships need anchors to keep them from drifting away on the…

Tawny C. created this handout that has the 2007 mutual theme on it. She says, “the Virtue Business Cards we made in each of the YW colors and gave to the girls in New Beginnings. We printed them out as business cards and gave to the YW to put in their wallets to help them memorize the YW [mutual] theme for the year.” (I’m assuming she means she printed the…
