This subway art card is based on my Young Women Subway Art Theme Posters. They’re very dramatic black and white cards you can use for new beginnings, birthdays, stake leadership meeting invitations and other activities. The card has the Young Women Torch and theme on the front. You’ll see a sample card I printed in the image below. I printed this on regular card stock using my laser printer to…

Our personal progress classroom cross stitch style banners fit on five pages or less. I created them to be used at New beginnings or when you are focusing on a particular value during the month; however, you’ll find lots of uses for them at camp and other activities, I’m sure. Simply print out the pages, align the overlap, and tape for a beautiful classroom poster! Enjoy!

Shawna W. submitted this updated version of the Young Women Values Pageant Skit for New Beginnings. She says : “Last year, I downloaded the Values Pageant to use for our ward’s New Beginnings program. I agree with you that it’s a classic. I remember my ward performing it when I was a Beehive! However, when I read through the script again, it seemed markedly outdated–so much so that I was…

Fran Stucki wrote this script that uses a giant object lesson, a 6 foot sub sandwich, to teach Young Women values from For the Strength of Youth. Here’s what Fran says: “This is a New Beginnings Program specifically for 2007. It is a take on the theme (Let virtue garnish thy thoughts…) It is a Cooking Demonstration Show set at the Virtue Deli. It is presented by the YW Sisters….

The script calls for 6 Young Women speaking parts and 1 adult narrator, though you could perform it with as few as 3 people. No special costumes or sets are required. No memorization required, but the parts…

This card template was made using my LDS Digital Scrapbooking elements. This makes two cards per 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of paper. It has a ribbon with the flower elements and the word “Young Women” in the bottom right quadrant in “Scriptina” font. There is plenty of space on this card to type in the title of your event, and it’s generic enough to use for birthday cards, invitations,…

Gina D. shared the skit she used for New Beginnings. Even though it’s written for the 2007 theme, it’s a simple skit that could easily be adjusted to fit any year’s theme. She also included her skit and invitations. You can find them by clicking on “new beginnings” below. 1 page, 8.5 x 11 inches, color.

Here are some ideas about what we are doing for New Beginnings. Our theme is B.O.O.T. Camp “Building Our Own Testimony” Our invitation is a draft letter; very simple. I am attaching our program (it is still a work in progress, but I will send it to you as it is right now). There is also a little skit that is turning out cute. It requires 7-9 girls. We have…
