This subway art card is based on my Young Women Subway Art Theme Posters. These cards use a low volume of ink and have a little spot color in the values. You can use for new beginnings, birthdays, stake leadership meeting invitations and other activities. The card has the Young Women Torch and theme on the front. You’ll see a sample card I printed in the image below. I printed…

Our personal progress classroom cross stitch style banners fit on five pages or less. I created them to be used at New beginnings or when you are focusing on a particular value during the month; however, you’ll find lots of uses for them at camp and other activities, I’m sure. Simply print out the pages, align the overlap, and tape for a beautiful classroom poster! Enjoy!

This is a series of 3 posters with the YW class purpose statements and symbols. They are black and white. I printed them on cardstock, and they were displayed on tables during New Beginnings so that parents could know more about the new purpose statements for each class.

My friend who is YW President in her ward gave me a copy of the talks that her Young Women are using for New Beginnings this year. This New Beginnings program has six short talks that describe espisodes in the lives of several women from Church History. Each talk is assigned a Personal Progress value (Divine Nature and Knowledge are combined) and each speaker ends the talk by saying something…

This is a skit submitted by K. Adams. This skit was organized (from an inherited script) and directed by her daughter for a Personal Progress 10-hour project. There is music and a very fun skit with special effects and fun dramatic parts for the actors. What’s interesting to me about this skit is it involves the girls’ fathers — using them to encourage the girls to avoid bad habits that…

I thought I would share this skit so someone else could take advantage of all the work. It also includes an activity. The idea of the activity is to get everyone interacting during dinner in ways they may not normally while at the same time introducing the values. This skit was designed to be done by the leaders It is very simple and includes a dinner. We try to do…

Marilynn M. shared this cute script for a New Beginnings activity. It is based on the book The Plain Princess and integrates each of the seven values in to the skit. It’s a Readers’ Theater, so it’s not necessary to memorize the parts (some of them are very long). There are 13 speaking parts. 9 pages, 8.5 x 11 inches, black and white.

Jen F. shared this cute script for a new beginnings court trial. Basically each girl is brought up to “testify” of some of her experiences living the gospel and young women’s values. This is a good way to get to know the girls, spotlight the good things they’re doing, and makes for an fun activity. I think this would also make a great standards night and could be altered to…
