Families Are Forever – Primary 2014 Theme

I’m sitting near my Christmas tree, sighing with happiness, but wondering why I haven’t put up any Christmas printables on this blog this year…I guess Thanksgiving got the best of me! I was so blessed to be able to spend the holiday weekend with my family, especially my husband. He has been so overwhelmed with school and work this semester, so it was an amazing break for both of us and I soaked up every possible minute by his side. (You can check out last year’s Christmas printables by clicking here.) I do hope to get at least one or two Christmas quotes up, but we’ll have to see…time is running short!

Interestingly enough, I have gotten numerous requests for me to do a print of next year’s Primary theme, so I thought I’d take a whack at it. I love the theme of “Families are Forever” because I love the testimony I have of my family being together for eternity. It is the only thing that keeps me going on the hard days and through the trials. I know my family will be my family forever, and it brings me immense peace.

During this Christmas season, I am especially grateful for my Savior and His plan of mercy that allows our families to be sealed in the temple and to remain a unit after this life. He is so kind and so loving and I feel blessed to worship Him and celebrate His birth.

There are 3 color versions available of this print, and one set has “Primary 2014” and the other set has a blank ribbon. Feel free to use whichever works best for your Primary or your family. I hope you like them!

Happy Holidays!

What experiences have you had that have strengthened your testimony of a forever family?

I love to offer my LDS Printables free of charge, but I can only offer so much of my time for free. I try to put generic files up on my site so that most people can use them without needing modifications. Having said that, if you would like to have a print customized with a different temple, names, labels (ie. Primary President, Primary Secretary, etc.), or different colors, you can check out this listing here on my Etsy shop for details. I will only charge for the time I spend on your requests. Thank you for your understanding!

*****BONUS PRINT*****
The Primary 2014 print is now available with the Provo, UT temple in the gray chevron version in both Spanish and English. This print is a 16×20 but would print fine as an 8×10, and should print at pretty much any other standard size you’d like. Thank you for all of your support!

Scripture Tweet Worksheet

This file can be used to have students summarize For example:  “Imagine you are Enos.  What would you tweet about your experience with prayer.” or “Imagine you are one of the shepherds who saw angels at Christ’s birth.  What would you tweet?” You can even ask students to draw a picture they may have snapped to go along with the tweet.

2014 Primary Teacher/Presidency binder covers. and classroom door signs

I wanted to make a binder for each of my teachers and each of my counselors for Primary this next year, so here are the covers i made. I also wanted the door signs to match for the classrooms, so there is classroom signs as well. hope you enjoy :) I also included a blank page with no words so you could add your own text if needed.

Christ Silhouette

This is a silhouett version of the Christus Statue with some alterations for ease of printing.

Families are Forever, simple

This simple graphic based on the 2014 Primary Theme, Families are Forever, would look great on tshirts, sacrament meeting programs, binder covers, invitations to stake leadership meetings, and many other Primary handouts. You can use this image on items you will not sell for profit, including t-shirts, crafts, and programs, but please leave the MormonShare.com logo intact. Below you’ll find this image in a variety of colors.  The “black” version…

Families are Forever with Temple

I created this logo for use with the 2014 Primary Theme, Families are Forever.   This logo uses a temple for the ‘l’ in families to show that Families can be Forever when sealed in the temple.  You can use this image on items you will not sell for profit, including t-shirts, crafts, and programs, but please leave the MormonShare.com logo intact. UPDATE – I decided the other image looked…

I Like to Look for Rainbows

It’s raining outside. Over the years, I have learned to love the rain. I enjoy the moisture that it brings to the earth, the pitter-patter sound as the raindrops fall on my roof, and the lightning and thunder that often accompany the rain. (Cue the thunder…perfect…) I love running through it and feeling the water cleanse my body and send chills down my back.

One of the best parts about the rain is the rainbow that comes afterward. I love to look for the rainbows and remember the promise that God made to Noah that He would no longer flood the earth. The symbolism behind the rainbow and the flood is so beautiful, and I especially love that it represents baptism.

As a missionary in Iowa, I taught people all day every day about the importance and necessity of baptism by immersion. I shared with them the truth that the priesthood of God is on the earth again, and that each person can be cleansed from their sins by the power of the priesthood ordinance of baptism. We loved to sing the song “When I Am Baptized” from the Children’s Songbook at the baptisms of our converts. My heart rejoiced each time I saw one of God’s children accept the essential, saving, cleansing covenants through their baptism.

I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain
And ponder on the beauty of an earth made clean again.
I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can and live with God again.

I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away,
And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.
I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can and live with God again.

I am teaching my daughter about baptism already. She recognizes photos of people being baptized, and loves to sing the Primary songs about baptism. I hope she chooses to follow God’s path and be baptized when she turns 8.

How have your baptismal covenants blessed your life?

Enjoy the rain. :)
