For an individual worth project, my Mia Maid class organized a Talent Show on a mutual night! All the youth participated, there were all kinds of acts like karate forms, girls playing the piano and singing, and funny skits

I saw the Q&A about the airplane skit and thought I would sent you a little note. I am in the YW Presidency in my ward. I had the idea of teaching our youth about the Plan of Salvation. For a moment I remembered something like the Flight 227 done for us when I was in mutual, they did not wear white though.
Anyway my thought is that Flight 227 was a way of showing what may happen to us after this life. People looking for this skit are looking for a creative and memorable way of teaching this principle. However, there are other ways to teach the Plan of Salvation. If you are interested I made a Plan of Salvation board game. We used different colored candies as pawns and 2 dice. By rolling a 1 or 6 you are Born, Earth Life has spaces to move through, you have to get the exact number at the end then you die and move to the Spirit World. It is doctrinely sound. I think I even had scriptures to go with the different steps we make on our journey. I hope this was not a waste of your time.
Sincerely, Amy -

please send to me.
thank you -
The church leaders have asked that this activity be stopped. I did it too, once, and it was a great experience. But, the leaders have asked us not to use our temple clothing outside of the temple. This activity requires that they be used. So, I would suggest obeying the teachings of the prophet and not go forward with this activity.

We are going to explain the purpose of the title of liberty & have each of the kids in our class make their own. on paper. yeah, not as cool as on fabric & hoisted up. But then they could put it on the walls of their room.

Thanks for that… will have to go to plan B. I wanted to do something different for a ward fireside rather than the usual musical ones but thanks for that info. Glad to get the info before going ahead with it.

This was a poem written by the Bishop’s wife and I’ve just forgotten her name (Emily M…?)with help from me and Sis. Manwaring. We did it for the RS Visiting teaching conference in Homestead, FL back in 1984 or 1985. If it has gone on since then, I don’t know about it. I do have my cut up hand-typed copy of it from when I was one of the VTs. I’ll be happy to share it. You can email me at judi at judistull dot com and I’ll send it to you. We’re in the middle of moving, so I may have to look a bit for it. LOL

Thank you so very much for this!!! I have interpreted for an old man and now help with a YW. There are many words in the theme I did not know how to translate. The download option is perfect as I want to put this on my ipod. Thank you so very much!

You can purchase sheet music at dessertbook.com. Sometimes you can purchase a single song, but most of the time you have to buy the songbook.
