Laurel C shared the following : “I made these handouts for this week and last week’s lessons (lesson 40, Loving ourselves and others and 41 Being dependable) I took these pictures myself, so there is no copyright issues. Thanks so much for your website.” The images have the quotes “Let us not be nearly dependable but always dependable” and “Loving yourself is being able to look past the flaws and…
I recently saw a post on By Common Consent where a Church member had created some alternate Young Women posters with quotes from a variety of different female leaders. I liked the idea — a lot — and I appreciated her thoughts on the cute-ifying of YW activities. However, I was disappointed that of the 16 posters, only 5 had quotes from LDS women. I’m sometimes annoyed when we behave…
Here are the Young Women Values in popular Chalkboard style.
Our personal progress classroom temple banners fit on four pages or less. I created them to be used at New beginnings or when you are focusing on a particular value during the month; however, you’ll find lots of uses for them at camp and other activities, I’m sure. Simply print out the pages, align the overlap, and tape for a beautiful classroom poster! Enjoy! Sample image:
As of late, I have become ga ga for vintage floral patterns. There is something just pretty and sweet about them. I decided to create the YW values with pretty florals. I plan on printing them off (enlarged copies) and posting them in the YW room for decoration. Feel free to use in your young womens and share! I was asked to do a devotional for Golden Hour at YW girls’ camp. My topic was “Have You Experienced This Mighty Change in your Hearts”, as I recall. I used the video “Significant in Every Way” from the LDS Church’s New Era Videos You Tube Channel. The camp leaders had asked us to send the girls home with something to remember the devotional with, so I went to my…
I created this element based on a freebie I found at Shabby Princess Scrapbooking. It is one of a series of upscale YW scrap elements I am creating for the Young Women portion of this website. This element features the YW value flower elements with a ribbon background and each value name beneath in font “Vivaldi”. With drop shadow. See all the LDS Digital Scrapbooking elements. If you make something…

This is one in a series of the values, with stitch detailing. These are also available in color with the associated Value Girl. Click on personal progress below to find them all.
I’ve created these over the years for lessons I’ve taught drawing from the quotes, scriptures and stories shared in the manuals. A few are from mutual activities (the one about kids was for an evening we put on for the Jr. Primary Children to teach the YW about caring for kids). Enjoy!
I was asked to do a devotional for Golden Hour at YW girls’ camp. My topic was “Have You Experienced This Mighty Change in your Hearts”, as I recall. I used the video “Significant in Every Way” from the LDS Church’s New Era Videos You Tube Channel. This is the text of the poem in a PDF handout or ODT editable version. You can check out the handout I made,…
