LDS Standards Night Programs

A standards event, sometimes called standards night is an annual program, usually held during mutual, emphasizing moral values and eternal goals, such as the values and goals taught in For the Strength of Youth. Standards events are based on the last part of the Young Women theme:

We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values, we will be prepared to make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation.

Standards events are held to encourage young women to live the standards that will bring them closer to the Savior and may be held on a class, ward, multi-ward, or stake level.

Young women and priesthood and Young Women leaders are invited to standards events. Standards events may include mothers or fathers, mothers and fathers together, young women and young men, or any combination of Young Women age-groups, depending on how a subject is presented.
