Brenda H. shared this script for a skit that uses the popular story The Wizard of Oz to teach about the virtues needed to attend the temple.
The entire script is written in rhyme, which would make it very easy to memorize. In addition to Wizard of Oz costumes, you’ll need the following props:
* Bean Bag with signs for obstacle
* Temple Backdrop
* Sign that says (Path of Virtue with Young Women Torch)
* Balloons to represent the values
* Brain, Medal, Heart Necklace (big plastic heart on string)
I estimate that this script would take around 35 minutes to perform.
This was submitted as a New Beginnings script to go with the 2007 Mutual theme, “Let Virtue Garnish Thy Thoughts Unceasingly,” but I think that it would make a great Standards Night activity, too.
