I attended a great lesson on keeping the Sabbath Day holy, and afterwards asked the teacher for copy of her lesson. I am publishing here just the attention-getter she used. On the board, she put up signs with the names of 5 imaginary women, who represent how we may treat the Sabbath day. She described each of the women briefly, while asking us to think about our own activities on…

Brigham Bucks is the Seminary incentive program used by Seminary Mom, but you can use them for Seminary, Primary reverence incentives, youth activities, and much more. Last year I used tickets for our March Madness auction, but this year I am using these bucks because tickets are just too expensive for my class of 16. I’m hoping to laminate and reuse these Brigham Bucks next year. The image of Brother…

A user asked about the Relief Society seal (logo) in Spanish. I thought it would be easy to find, but as it turns out, there isn’t an EPS version online that I could convert to JPG, so I made one for you. I took the English version of the seal, altered the new ‘s’, doubled it, added the little tail as best as I could see it from the terrible…

Downloaded from: http://inkablinka.com/2013/02/visiting-teaching-eggs.html The March Visiting Teaching message talks about reaching out to others, strengthening the weak, and forming meaningful friendships with the sisters we visit. I’ve put together a teaching aid that goes along with these sentiments, and is also a fun Easter craft. Using the tutorial here, I used a starch mixture to stiffen embroidery floss in the shape of an egg. You will need liquid starch (less…

The seal was adjusted and simplified in 2012 to make it more useful and recognizable in a global Church. The slightly altered seal now places the name of Relief Society in prominence, more clearly identifying Relief Society as part of the Church. The year the society was organized, 1842, was removed from the old seal and the motto remained. Brigham Young asked Emmeline B. Wells in 1876 to encourage the…

This meeting agenda is for use during any type of Relief Society Meeting Agenda. There are two styles of agenda: RSMeetingAgenda.pdf has several blanks and is not very customizable. It contains a typical agenda. RSMeetingAgendaSIMPLE.pdf has only four text areas, making it more customizable. If you have special things in your opening exercises, like a Provident Living message or something similar, this is the agenda to use. Each includes an…
