Can You Hear Me Now?
Dorene L. teaches a monthly special needs Personal Progress lesson and says of this image: “[I] wanted something cute for a poster to get the message across about listening for the answers to our prayers. So I created the following using Bagley’s LDS clipart and micro-soft clipart. I hope someone might be able to use it too.” Black and white.
Answers to prayers come from Heavenly Father in many ways.
The Savior taught, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8). To the Nephites He said, “Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is right, believing that ye shall receive, behold it shall…

Heavenly Father wants me to pray to Him often — anytime, anywhere.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them (Mark 11:24). When Jesus lived on the earth, many people came to listen to His words. They brought their children so Jesus could bless them, but the disciples told them to go away. The scriptures teach me how to pray.
In the scriptures we find many examples of prayer. Enos prayed for his family, his friends, and his enemies. Joseph Smith prayed when he had a question. The Brother of Jared prayed when he had a problem. Jesus Christ prayed for each of us. We follow the example of others who showed us how to pray. Talk Source: Jenny Smith
Family prayer, family scripture study, and family home evening can strengthen my family.

As that practice has diminished, the moral decay discussed by the Apostle Paul has ensued. “I feel satisfied that there is no adequate substitute for the morning and…

Then, one of my least introspective students asked himself aloud: “I wonder what I’ll be good at?” Another Freshman turned to him and said, “I know man! Me, too!” I didn’t know what to say to him that wouldn’t sound like a platitude,…

Miracles come to those who have faith
In 2 Nephi 26 we learn that God manifests “himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the Holy Ghost; yea, unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, working mighty miracles, signs, and wonders, among the children of men according to their faith. ” (2 Ne 26: 13) This scripture teaches us that God will work miracles for every person or nation according to their faith….

Prayer can ‘Topple’ Sin
Prepare some dominoes for an object lesson (or something that could be used in place of dominoes). On the first domino attach the label, Prayer. Attach other labels such as hate, anger, pride, selfishness, greed, dishonesty, and so on. Use as many dominoes as you think advisable, labeling each. On the reverse side of each domino (except for the one labeled prayer), write labels naming the opposite of the sin…
