Sorry to do this here but for some reason I can’t PM. But by chance is the Caralee in this thread the same Caralee who used to live in Woodstock ON? If so small world!

I doubt you would remember me. But your name isn’t terribly popular so I thought I would take the chance. We were in the same branch. I didn’t join until my teen years though.

As for the topic, I have the same problem. There is just no parental support here in Hamilton. We are a decent sized ward and have about 10 active girls but sometimes I feel like pulling teeth trying to get their parents to do anything for them. There is so much that they YW program has to offer and these girls are missing out.

We are working on really getting the girls involved with our inactives and getting them to be accountable to us for it. We also heavily involve our girls in our planning. They are ful of great ideas.

I guess the thing is to make if fun yet fall into the value program. We just did a kareoke night. They developed their singing abilities (sort of) and had a lot of fun. Food is also a good thing to have girls come out. My girls love food!

I am not sure if I can be of much help to any of you. We are in the same boat I guess. Just keep praying for your girls. Pray for them by name. Ask Heavenly Father to help you know what to do. It will get better. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
