We give our children a framed picture of the Nauvoo Temple (that is our temple district) for their birthdays. We bought frames from Ikea for about 40 cents each. They are wooden and I wrote in calligraphy on the frame – My Eternal Family at the top and 2009 at the bottom.

We are also having a family day at the temple on Oct. 10th and I liked your idea of having the children’s photo taken in front of the temple. We are going to have someone speak to the children about the historic nature of the Nauvoo Temple. We are looking forward to the day and the children are very excited.
