I just became a RS 2nd counselor in our ward. It seems easier for the one conducting to pick, rather than consult with another person to announce who will say the prayers. Is there a set rule?
There’s no set rule. I think it’s easiest if the secretary makes the assignments and then gives them with the agenda to the person conducting. But like I say, there’s no set rule. Operate according to what your RS president instructs.
We have a sister called to be the Prayer Coordinator – she lines up the prayers for us and then lets the sister conducting know.
