I am looking for the kind of chalk that the church uses. They want chalk with a speciafic amount of calcium in it. I would like to purchase some for myself. I teach seminary and would really like to have a decent piece of chalk to write with (instead of the broken little pieces the library offers.) Can you tell me any more about the special chalk or where I may be able to bry it or a brand name which is the correct kind?? Karen :?:

Hmmm — this is a good question. I didn’t know that we were supposed to use a certain kind of chalk! Learn something every day.

I don’t know anything about the chalk the Church uses, and I couldn’t find anything about it at the Distribution Online Catalog. But here are some other links:

Chalk holder — with one of these you wouldn’t have to worry about the calcium content and could use the nubs that come from the library.

Dustless Chalk and Holders – this chalk is described as dustless and doesn’t leave ghosting, which would be nice to help keep the boards cleaner.

I can’t find anywhere that lists a percentage of the calcium carbonate (which is chalk) compared to other minerals in it. Let me know if you find out the answer to this one!
