Book of Mormon Challenge

Giving away the new Jenny Phillips cd- check out the details

This year one of our goals with the Young Women is to all read the Book of Mormon.

I am just going to name  a few of the reasons why:

1- They can pass off the project for Virtue
2- It is the corner stone of our religion
3- It will give them power

Our Young Women are motivated by incentives :)
During our New Beginnings we introduced our plan to read this most wonderful book.
Book of Mormon Challenge

I found this wonderful bookmark at
My Mix of Six

We tweaked it to work for our girls and changed up some of the incentives, but so far so good!

So this weekend we had finished up Jacob- So we had a late night and read Enos together.  It was really fun to talk about what they have already read and especially to go over the story of Enos.  Enos is one of my favorite books in the Book of Mormon because he did not go out into the wilderness to have a spiritual experience, and yet that is what happened to him.  He talks about recalling "the words which I had often heard my father speak concerning eternal life, and the joy of the saints"
"Sank deep into my heart" WOW ( this gives me hope that maybe someone is actually listening to me) He talks about praying all day and all night (hence the Late Night) Then the Lord tells him that his sins are forgiven him - another WOW- ok the next WOW is he believed him! he knew that God could not lie- therefor he had no guilt.

We Had a very fun night!
Book of Mormon ChallengeJust Dance is a must most of the time.

I had the opportunity to talk with one of the girls Mom she said that her daughter had been working really hard to make sure she finished Jacob so she could participate in the Late Night-

I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon, I love it, I love the testimony that it gives of Jesus Christ.  I love the accounts that testify that we can all repent and be forgiven of our sins.  I love the strength it gives me to just keep going especially when times are tough.  I love to know that God loves all of his children and wants to, and will always communicate with us if we have a desire (sometimes even if we don't necessarily at that time have a desire).  I love the promise Moroni gives at the end of the book- if we truly have a desire to know if it is true, go and ask for yourself and you will get an answer.  I love it!
