This handout has the 6 fundamentals of Gospel Teaching as described by Elder Dallin H. Oaks in his talk “Gospel Teaching,” Ensign, Nov. 1999, page 78. The 6 fundamentals are: 1. Love your students. 2. Concentrate on students’ needs. 3. Use prescribed (church published) materials. 4. Prepare diligently; seek effective teaching methods. 5. Seek and use the Spirit. 6. Analyze your efforts and seek to improve.

I got a request from a user for these Primary Reminders in wristband form — what a great idea!!! She says the wristbands don’t get lost like a slip of paper, and parents are more likely to notice them. Write the assignment on the wristband and tape it around the child’s arm at Primary like this: The blanks are for the date, time, and a contact person’s telephone number. The…

This cute handout is made to look like a roll of Life Savers Candy. This has You’re a Life Saver Thank you printed on the front, with a blank white space for signatures. The stripes are the same colors as on a real LifeSavers wrapper. The printable has 4 wrappers per page, full color. **** Suggestion: Print these wrappers on _coated_ inkjet paper so that the colors are more vibrant,…

I created these binder label sets for our class presidency binders. There’s a set for each of the three classes: Beehive, Mia Maid, and Laurel, and they feature the new class symbols from the 2010 handbook. I printed these on 8.5 x 11 inch sticker paper from Avery (product number 48165, Laser/Inkjet), and then I cut them apart with a paper cutter. Each sheet makes: – Four 3/4 inch binder…

For me, the new YW theme poster is next to impossible to read. Tiny gray letters on pink background? When we hold up the poster in Relief Society to repeat the theme, it’s very difficult for the older ladies to see. I created this poster series in an attempt to make it a little easier for those who don’t know the theme to read it. There are several sizes so…

This is a series of 3 posters with the YW class purpose statements and symbols. They are black and white. I printed them on cardstock, and they were displayed on tables during New Beginnings so that parents could know more about the new purpose statements for each class.

This is the handbook I’m using for Seminary this year in PDF and Open Office formats. It was useful for me as a new Seminary teacher to write out my rules and expectations. The academic grade is determined by whatever means the teacher determines. All I care about is the reading, and so that’s what I grade. You may choose something different. Hope this helps! —————– UPDATED 7-2012 I have…

I’ve made a list of Power Phrases that students can use in sharing the gospel. A power phrase is an opening phrase that precedes a testimony about a topic. Some teachers require their use during Seminary devotionals to help students learn to share the gospel. I have intentionally left off “I’d like to bear my testimony…” since I think it’s not a great phrase for using when talking about the…
