Downloaded from: http://brosimonsays.wordpress.com/2013/03/27/spring-break-or-spring-keep-is-easter-your-hol-i-day-or-hol-y-day/ Today I helped my friend, Brother Day (Seminary Teacher’s Blog) with a couple classes. We discussed the importance of Easter and how to honor the Savior during the Easter Season. Unfortunately, many people use their vacation time around the Easter season in ways that dishonors the Living Christ. The term we use to describe that […]

Week 4: Jesus Christ Is Our Savior

Downloaded from: http://ohwhatdoyoudoforsingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/03/week-4-jesus-christ-is-our-savior.html If you did not do the activity I posted for week 1, it would also work well for this week.  See the post here. Another idea is to put the following scriptures in plastic Easter eggs.  Each scripture contains a message that Christ taught.  Have a child pick an egg and read the scripture.  Have the child identify what the Savior taught us & discuss it with the…

One of my favorites, in my long list of favorites, is “When He Comes Again”. This is REALLY…

Egg Shakers

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2013/03/egg-shakers.html Easy to make. I already had everything I needed lying around the house. Plastic eggs, rice, packing tape (best way to keep them closed… glue didn’t work out so well) and an empty egg container. Pass from class to class. Use them to shake the beat or the rhythm while you sing.

Jesus Christ Is Our Savior – Week 2

Downloaded from: http://ohwhatdoyoudoforsingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/03/jesus-christ-is-our-savior-week-2.html This week’s sharing time focuses specifically on the Atonement & Crucifixion.  I have done the following activity several times & it ALWAYS invites the spirit.  I am sure many of you have seen this before, but I feel that the best way to teach is often through repetition. This activity will be spread over two weeks…the first week focuses on the Atonement & Crucifixion while the second…

Egg Basket Toss

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2013/02/egg-basket-toss.html image sourcePass a plastic egg while singing. Sing until pianist stops. Child holding egg gets the chance to finish the lyric. If they do it they get to try to toss a few jellybean eggs into a baskets for points.  Have multiple baskets labebeled with different point values. Or, each jellybean = 1 point.
