My husband and I are going on our first “Youth Trek” very soon and we are the Ma & Pa of a family with 10 kids, ages 12 – 18 years. We do not know any of them either. We wanted to start off our family counsel with an object lesson where we give them something to wear (necklace, bracelet or something) to remind them that they can complete this journey as they stay close to their Heavenly Father. We know there will be times when the youth will be frustrated and the walking will be exhausting, but when they see or touch this object they’ll have, it will remind them to keep going and that they can do. Any thing is possible with the God’s help.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Thank you,
Lisa Ziegner
