I am the camp director from our ward. We are doing our girls camp with the stake this year. I am in charge of the service project idea. We are doing camp at the Heber Valley Girls camp. Any ideas on what we can do, that would take about 1-2 hours. There will be about 120 girls. Thank you! This is such a great website!

Since you’re at Heber Valley (great campsite, btw), you’ll need to contact the camp to see what work they need done about the area. Typically they’ll have girls clear trails or clean up campsites.

WAPI – we did water pasturization kits (200 for $85) Needed good priesthood holder to help w/ power tools but was a great experience for our yw. May need more time to complete!

What about the Linus Project? We had sisters in the stake donate the material and the girls sat and made the blankets. The girls were shown a power point presentation by a Linus Project rep, so they could get a feel of who they were making the blankets for. The girls had fun and really felt like they were helping someone other then just the camp.
