Question on men being sealed to more than one wife

I teach the Laurals and on sunday the question came up on why a husband can be sealed to more than one wife, but not the other way around. They didn’t think that was very fair. I was wondering if anyone knows of any articles on the subject so I can help them understand. Thank you

I’m not qualified to answer a question about this, and probably, neither are most people who view this forum.

In light of the recent letter from the First Presidency, doctrinal questions like this one should be asked to your Stake President. Your Stake President will have lots of experience answering questions like this one, and he can refer you to Church published articles on the subject and also contact the YW General Board or Priesthood Office to help you answer your girl’s questions.

If I were you, I’d call your Stake President quickly, so that you could get any instruction from him before your next YW class. Good luck!
