I have been the lead member in a YSA FHE committee for 8 months now, and before that I was a member of the FHE committee for 4 months. What seems to work well for us is splitting up into "roles" that way everyone knows clearly what they are responsible and accountable for–it also seems to divide the work evenly. We have a Lessons role, a Conducting role, and an Activities role. The Lessons role is responsible for asking people in the ward to give lessons each Monday and making sure there is a lesson given each FHE. The Conducting role is on time each week and asks people to give opening and closing prayers, leads the song, as well as ask for any annoucements and then turns the time over to the person giving the lesson that particular week. The Activites role is in charge of running the activity. All FHE committee members help brainstorm for activity ideas. I have been the Activities role for 8 months now, and you would be surprised all the ideas you can find by googling "party game ideas," "fhe activity ideas," and asking people who attend FHE what kind of activities they want to see more of. If you have more than 3 members in the FHE committee I would suggest putting another person on Activities role as it is the most time consuming role of the bunch.
