This cute analogy is great for autumn celebrations. Attach it to a drawing of a pumpkin, small jack-o-lantern, pass it out at a pumpkin carving activity, or make my friend Susan’s yummy pumpkin bread.

    —————-
Being a human is like being a pumpkin.

Like pumpkin is harvested, God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dust off you. He opens you up, reaches deep inside, and scoops out all the yucky stuff, including the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts his light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

This was passed on to me from a “pumpkin”. Now it is your turn to pass it on to another pumpkin!
