Someone asked for ways to save money on the #seminarybudget. I’m not teaching teenagers — my class is offered through the RS — so I have no budget, and my class meets in the theater of a local senior citizens center, so there’s no teaching equipment available to me. I need a chalk or dry erase board sometimes, so I’ve been using this substitute. A flipboard and easel would have cost me around $130, and since I’m only teaching once per week, the investment didn’t make sense.
This is a piece of foam core I bought at the dollar store, with a poster board clipped to it using the binder style clips. I prop this up in a chair, and it works acceptably. Total cost: $2.50, and more poster board costs 50 cents each when I use it.
You’re looking at my #dandc17 #dandc18 and #dandc19 lesson. The big ’12’ is a listing of the “job requirements” of the members of the quorum of the twelve. I had three other passages I covered written on the back and just flipped the sheet over during class. Our bishop has asked the ward to memorize D&C 4, so I’m using that as part of our opening exercises.
