Downloaded from: http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2013/07/review-families-can-be-together-forever.html To review this song, I want to be sure that they understand the concepts. I, therefore, plan to ask the children “Who, What, When, Where, Why, How” questions about both verses. Print the following questions. Read the first question aloud, sing the first verse, and ask a child whether he or she heard the answer to the question in the song. Continue with each question.1. WHERE do…

Downloaded from: http://seminaryatsixam.blogspot.com/2013/07/new-scripture-mastery-cards.html The newly printed Book of Mormon Scripture Mastery Cards arrived in my mailbox last week.As quickly as I got excited, I was at the same time quickly frustrated.Has anyone else had this experience? Teachers and Students, have any of you noticed this yet? There are some flaws in the printing of the new Seminary Scripture Mastery Cards: The side with the actual verse printed on it does not…

I emailed John Bushman, from NW Seminary Share to see if I could do a book review of the book he recently co-authored titled Teaching the Book of Mormon, Part 1 (1 Nephi – Alma 16) by Bushman, Romney, Manis, and Wakefield. The publisher, Cedar Fort, was kind enough to send me out a copy to review. Though the dirty brown cover was a little disappointing, I was impressed when…

The Book of Mormon scripture mastery sorting game has a list of the new scripture mastery passages for 2013 with either a quote from or the entire passage of a scripture mastery passage. Students match passages with the scripture reference. Simply cut along the dotted lines and match scripture mastery key phrases with each reference. In my class we only cut out the keyphrases, leaving the scripture references as one list…

As you know, the suggested Seminary assignments for home study Seminary students is not an easy schedule to keep. Each day students are expected to read vastly different amounts of material, which can lead students to be frustrated that they can not allocate a given amount of time to seminary activities at home, and they may quit the program all together. This chart is intended to help home study teachers…

Today I am home from church with a sick kid, so I thought I’d begin my collection of information on how to teach Jacob 5 next year. I am hoping to do it in two parts, with one an introductory section with explanations of the symbols and olive tree horticulture and a second one blowing through the history of the House of Israel. It is quite a feat to read…

I attended SVU‘s Education Conference this weekend. What a strange experience that was! It was part fundraising convention and part spiritual feast. So bizarre. At points it actually seemed like we were at a timeshare sales pitch or an Amway convenction. Other times it was just like BYU’s Education Week, and sometimes even better. I tried to tweet a little about it, but there were only 4-5 people there of…
