The church is very clear that the “CTR” in the shield in the exact font as on the rings in the distribution center, is copyrighted and yet everyone makes them and uses it. As Jenny mentioned the Church has an Intellectual Property Rights/ Copyrights office and they can answer any questions you may have. Legal Department – ext. 6301

I have contacted them before and this is what they said:

“We have no objection to the use of the words, quotes, phrases and scripture references you have listed in your e-mail dated 16 July 2007 to be reproduced for commercial distribution with the exceptions listed below.
Beehive, Liahona, Laurel, Mia Maid, Choose the Right (may use English only, no other languages), CTR letters, Be statements, President Hinckley’s quotes, Standing for Something.
We request you do not make any references of the sources of your words, quotes, etc. (except scripture verses) or any endorsement by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the printing, packaging, or promotion of your product.”

Please understand – that you should without a doubt contact them with your exact question and possibly an image – to be sure there is no miscommunication.

Hope that helps! – kerry (tkme63)

I don’t know if you have found something you like or not, but I wrote a poem on that subject as a gift one year. Some sisters saw it and wanted to use it for their enrichment. If you still need something, I will type it for you as I do not have it saved on this computer.

I am teaching this lesson too, I found a clip on youtube of Elder Hollands talk on the prophet Joseph Smith and the book of Mormon. It has some music in the background and pictures of Joseph Smith and the Saints. I had a friend copy for use as a DVD and I will show that- probably after I close. It is so powerful. I am also having a duet sung about Joseph. I love how music brings the spirit in the lesson. I also found a little article from the Liahona about how Joseph Smith spent some of his Christmases that I am going to tie in. I also like to pick out some of my favorite quotes from the lesson and have sisters read them and then ask questions that go with it. I find the sisters usually end up making comments that really help bring the Spirit in.

Where can we find a reading chart for the Old Testament like the one done for the Book of Mormon in the shape of a temple or the one with Moroni standing above the Books? Would love to get that for my sisters.

I don’t know if it is the right one, but One Clear Voice has a cd with a song titled Mother’s Prayer on it. Good luck :)

It was in the church news. Shortly after they announced virtue–an article including that directive was written. I shared it with my YW quite a while back and we took pp books and the virtue booklets into our RS to give to our YW mothers.

I too only see white in the middle. I am not allowed to upgrade to IE8 as my hubby says it has too many problems. We had it once and had to revert to sn older version as it caused our computer to crash repeatedly. Is there any other way to be able to see the content in the middle?

I often use Sugar Doodle, which has many links to your site. Whenever I click on links to your site, nothing appears in the center column. The same thing happens when I click on any of your tabs. What am I doing wrong?

I have been in the Young Women’s Program for as long as a Bishop holds his calling and maybe even longer (according to different Wards) :)…I feel that it is very important to reach out to the parents of the young women, plan interesting and exciting activities that will want them to participate and include the parents in the participation, if necessary. If YOU make it important; THEY will feel its important. If you minimize it; the message is: It must not be important enough to matter. With the new program, it is more on the parents and the leaders are the support group. It sounds like it is acting in reverse from what I am reading. Leaders need to plan and include parent participation so that they always know what is going on and CONTINUED reviews for Personal Progress are absolute with the parents being involved with the review the last half of the personal progress review. Both parents and young woman will feel that you CARE and that this is a VERY IMPORTANT program to follow. I have a strong testimony of this program and it WORKS if it is done they way it should be done.
