LOL! Thanks so much for sharing…we used to listen to J Golden Kimball stories on tape during road trips and they definitely helped pass the time :)

You can find them on the inside flap of the Seminary folders that the students receive at the beginning of the year. Ask your area Seminary Coordinator for the list.

I produced two musicals in our stake. It was very difficult to find a quality musical that would encompass a wide age range and a large quantity of members. The two musicals we performed were incredibly well received. I loved the fact that it gave those in our area who would not normally make it into a show, a chance to shine on stage. I would love to learn about the musicals you wrote. I was our Cultural Arts person for 6 years and have just been asked to serve again. It is my favorite calling!

You could follow the bee theme into the wording like:

Attention All Beehives of the _____Stake/Ward!

It’s time to “Buzz” on over to the 2011 Beehive Conference!

    10:00 AM Beehive Brunch

11:00 AM Classes, Crafts, and Service Project

Hope you can come because “Honey,” it won’t be the same without you!

    Casual dress
    RSVP____

Or another cute way to start would be “What’s all the BUZZ about?”

It’s time for the 2011 Beehive Conference!

Hope these ideas help. We’re using the bee theme as well. Do you have a link to your graphic? I need help with invitation layout!

Hi! You can always go to LDS.org under “Tools” and go to “maps” to search for when and where a ward meets. Looks like Kaiserslautern does have their own military ward that meets at Lauterstrasse 1, in Kaiserslautern. Good luck! I am sure the good brothers and sisters in the Vogelweh area would love to see you!

Have you done the skit, “Does Anybody Have My Name”? It is on geneology and is fabulous! It really lights a fire under people for doing geneology and is such a tear jerker. If you want to email me, I can give you more details.

I just had the wonderful opportunity to hear TC Christensen, who made this wonderful movie, speak. He said he can not list the 17 miracles at all. Because what is a miracle to one may not be a miracle to another….He gave the example of Was it a miracle that they even had the faith to start ? Levi Savage being in Iowa City the same time as the Saints were to leave..was that a miracle or do you not recognize it as one? There was a young man who was physically impaired but insisted on leaving on the trek…he only was able to trek 300 miles before succumbing to death was that a miracle? There are stories of individuals that were truly a part of this great event protrayed in the movie. It is a very emotional movie. Hope all can get a copy of this movie when it comes out to view. It is available at Deseret Book Sept 6th.

About 5 years ago a was in attendance at a general board meeting for stake leaders when then asked that we not raise our scriptures while singing scripture power. But this last spring I attended the spring general board meeting in SLC on temple square and the General Primary Board sang Scripture and Power and raised their scriptures high, letting us know that go ahead, get excited about reading the scriptures again. Every leadership has their own signatures. Have Fun!

To make sure all handouts reach the teachers, see if you can put them in the roll. Also, our enrichment leader for the extra RS meetings makes a separate poster for the teachers as they walk in to the Primary room and places one in the nursery so the nursery workers are not excluded. For sign up sheets, a member of the Primary presidency comes in to each class with the sign up and gives it to the teachers and waits for it to be signed then goes to another room. This helps.
