Hi, I am trying to find a fireside titled “flight 227” which I remember doing when I was in youth. Its set up as a flight where the participants go on a pretend flight and then plane crashes and they get taken to different rooms set up as telestial, terestial and celestial. I did have a copy but I cant seem to find it as I have moved around a bit. If anyone has it or knows where I can get a copy of it please let me know. I would appreciate it so much.

The airplane crash activity used to be on this website, but it has been deleted. It is an activity that should not be performed.
See this letter from the Temple Department at Church Headquarters:
http://www.mormonshare.com/forum/wearing-all-white-for-activities-airplane-crash-activityIn short, members should not perform activities that mimic temple patterns.

Thanks for that… will have to go to plan B. I wanted to do something different for a ward fireside rather than the usual musical ones but thanks for that info. Glad to get the info before going ahead with it.

If you look in the clip art section under skits or scripts or reader’s theater, you might find a script that will work for you. The Church’s website may have some old skits, too, especially in old Friends.

The church leaders have asked that this activity be stopped. I did it too, once, and it was a great experience. But, the leaders have asked us not to use our temple clothing outside of the temple. This activity requires that they be used. So, I would suggest obeying the teachings of the prophet and not go forward with this activity.
