The church has (finally) published clear rules for online presences. I’m proud to say our group has been obeying the rules since before they existed. :)
If your class has a FB page or other social media account, check to be sure that your group’s name is okay. These are the rules that govern stake seminary classes. They are pretty much compatible with SI’s suggestions, provided you never post folks’ information or photos without a release (but be VERY CAREFUL here — the church’s release form protects them, but it does not protect you when you act independently of the church to set up a Social media account. I wouldn’t post pictures of minors at all, ever, in a public group.)
