17 Tools for Overcoming Opposition. I got a toolbox and labeled different tools in the box with these 17 labels and let the kids come up and choose a tool. Then we talked about each tool and how we could use that idea to overcome opposition. The freaky friday tool is when you see things through the other person’s eyes. And the Heavenly tool is when they see things through Heavenly Father’s eyes…. after travelling in a space shuttle to look down on his children.
Then I gave out sweet and sour “sour patch kids” for a treat — so they remember they can’t know the sweet without the sour.
