Did #dandc85 and #dandc86 focusing on only two phrases "do not Steady the ark" and "wheat and tares." Many kids did not remember much about the ark at all, so it became quite a long discussion. A few suggested we watch Indiana Jones. I said no.
I wanted to be sure they knew what "steady the ark" meant to and I thought I'd seen it in the lesson and then when I reviewed the book I didn't see what I thought I'd seen earlier... I know they'll really learn a lot about it next year so I just went over the meaning and how we might be tempted to steady the ark today. Then I did the popcorn idea - my kids loved it.
