Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2013/06/pin-tie-on-guy.html image sourceA Father’s day twist on pin the tail on the donkey. After signing through the song you’re working on, pick a child to pin (tape) the tie on the guy. My Primary had a blast with this one and sang really well for a chance to pin the tie on the guy.

Downloaded from: http://littleldsideas.blogspot.com/2013/06/when-i-take-sacrament-i-renew-my.html IDENTIFY THE DOCTRINE (looking at pictures): Show a picture of baptism and a picture of the sacrament and ask how the two are related. Remind the children that we make covenants when we are baptized, and explain that when we take the sacrament we renew our baptismal covenants. ENCOURAGE UNDERSTANDING (listening and discussing): Invite the children to point either to themselves or to heaven to identify who is…

Downloaded from: http://aprimarysingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/06/pass-clipboard.html Saw this idea on Facebook (thanks Amanda Merrill) and think it would be fun for Sr. Primary! While singing, pass around a clipboard like a hot potato. When the music stops, whoever ends up with the clipboard writes down the next five words while the chorister does the same. See if they match up and whoever is closest gets a point.

This was to represent the 13…

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2013/06/rainbow-equation-for-eternal-life.html First, ask the kids if they know how a rainbow is made. (When I asked my Primary, JR didn’t have a clue. They had some funny answers, but didn’t really know. SR got really close to knowing. They had some trouble defining reflection/refraction, but we worked it out.)Second, tell them there’s an equation to make a rainbow. Put up the blue signs (well, mine are blue, yours…

Downloaded from: http://ohwhatdoyoudoforsingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/06/dress-father.html This visual was made by my mother YEARS ago. It is truly vintage Primary! It’s a classic that I continue to bring out each year and the children love it as much as I did as a child. Display the father visual and tell the children that you are going to help him get ready for work/church…be sure to make his hair look extra messy. Assign a…
