If you have photoshop, it's really easy to do. Get a pic of the temple, set it at around 10-30% opacity, make a new layer, paste the family proc on top, and there you go :-)

We haven't had the problem of youth complaining about material being used in both hours. I can definitely see a change in our young women since using the new curriculum. They are more involved in the lesson which lets them talk more as well. I like that we have a topic and then get to choose how we will teach that lesson. Although having said that some lessons it is hard to choose which path to take, or will feel like it's going down the same path as a lesson previously taught. All in all it is a great change and awesome having the young women speak up.

I've been looking for 2 days for this picture with a child shushing (finger to lips)! I cut it out of the Instructor many, many years ago. Saddly I laminated it but I think it still looks great. I used it in Primary back in the 80's when I was Primary Pres. Now I need to know how to upload it to you

Our stake RS President has said that she makes an effort to use it in every sacrament meeting talk she gives. Most of our use comes during the 1st Sunday lessons. Regardless of the topic, there's probably an uplifting story or quote to share.
I've also personally used it while Visiting Teaching.

A few years ago, our camp girls made file folder games to be given to homeless shelters. The pieces were copied ahead of time and at camp the girls colored and assembled the games – if someone has a portable laminator it helps! Otherwise, the final steps woule be finished by the girls after camp at a YW mutual evening.

I'm looking for a service project for a large group of young women. Something that can be made at camp and later delivered to those in need.
Any ideas?

Thank you so very much for your insight! It will be a fun calling for sure! What you explained is what I gathered from the information I could find, but it's nice to know for sure. Thank you again, you are appreciated!

It used to be achievement days but now it is called activity days, but everyone has had a hard time switching to that name so I just take them to mean the same thing. In activity days we use the Faith in God book. There are three areas Developing Talents, Learning and Living the Gospel and Serving Others were the girls have to do two goals per area per year. That can be a little bit tricky to keep track of where everyone is at because the girls all have different birthdays. It is pretty easy for the girls to get the goals done as a long as the come to the activities. And as a leader it is easy to plan enough activities for the girls to get their goals (there is only six that they need per year). The only area that I have had a problem with making fun and interesting enough for the girls is Learning and Living the Gospel. But there are tons of cute ideas online. Good Luck and have fun. I have had this calling for 3 years now and think it is the best one in the church! You only meet twice a month for an hour each time and you get to have tons of fun doing girly things!

Addressing the first question above from nearly 2 years ago, the first presidency letter dated Oct 23, 1999 explicitly states that Monday is designated as Family Home Evening, that church buildings are to be closed, and that meetings on Monday evenings should be avoided.
