I’m a new Achievement day leader, and I can’t find any information about it on the LDS.org website. Are we Achievement day leaders or Activity day leaders? I can’t seem to find anything about either! Can you help? I had this calling about 14 years ago and we had guidelines with 12 areas of achievement. Do we now use the Faith in God as a guideline? No one seems to know! Thanks for any help!
Love your site!! -
It used to be achievement days but now it is called activity days, but everyone has had a hard time switching to that name so I just take them to mean the same thing. In activity days we use the Faith in God book. There are three areas Developing Talents, Learning and Living the Gospel and Serving Others were the girls have to do two goals per area per year. That can be a little bit tricky to keep track of where everyone is at because the girls all have different birthdays. It is pretty easy for the girls to get the goals done as a long as the come to the activities. And as a leader it is easy to plan enough activities for the girls to get their goals (there is only six that they need per year). The only area that I have had a problem with making fun and interesting enough for the girls is Learning and Living the Gospel. But there are tons of cute ideas online. Good Luck and have fun. I have had this calling for 3 years now and think it is the best one in the church! You only meet twice a month for an hour each time and you get to have tons of fun doing girly things!

Thank you so very much for your insight! It will be a fun calling for sure! What you explained is what I gathered from the information I could find, but it's nice to know for sure. Thank you again, you are appreciated!
