Downloaded from: http://littleldsideas.blogspot.com/2014/02/sharing-time-my-body-is-created-in.html Sharing Time Idea from the 2014 Outline IDENTIFY THE DOCTRINE (seeing a reflection): Hold a mirror in front of a few children, and let them describe what they see (eyes, ears, mouth, and so on). Explain that what they saw was an “image” of themselves. Have the children listen for whose image we were created in as someone reads Genesis 1:27. Explain that God has eyes, ears, a mouth,…

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2014/02/simple-asl-for-i-stand-all-amazed.html I was only planning on teaching the first verse in sign (the rest just normal singing), but I ended up typing it all out… so I’ll just have to see how well my kids catch onto it! I’ve already taught the 1st verse to my CTR5 and Sunbeam. They got it pretty fast, so I’m feeling optimistic. :) ——————————————— 1. I stand all amazed (I, AM [stand],…

Downloaded from: http://littleldsideas.blogspot.com/2014/02/personal-progress-yw-frog-handouts.html Our YW focused on Faith during the month of January.I like to give them handouts or treats that have to do with the value to get them a little excited about Personal Progress, and then to also help them remember {they’re teenagers…they ARE going to forget}.I decided to do this as my Faith treat/handout: What do you think? My YW love food, so anytime I bring handouts, it…

Downloaded from: http://afprimarysingingtime.blogspot.com/2014/02/pdfs.html Hello, all! Man, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything useful on here! For those of you that are new or hadn’t heard, I started an in-home preschool this year, and it has been nuts around here. I have not been this consumed with anything since…well…since I was a primary chorister! I am finally settling into the routine of things, but the first year is always…

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2014/01/i-will-follow-gods-plans-broken-hearts.html Concerning prep work, there are 2 versions below. Easy and hard. (Hard isn’t really that hard, it’s just more effort…) sourceEASY: Glue/print song phrases on hearts. Cut them apart. Post them randomly on the board. Invite children to match them up. When a match is made, sing it. When all matches are made sing the whole song. *I thought I thought of this idea!, but then I…

Call up a child to make a match. When a match is made, tape the match on the board and, Sing the song. Hum the song and only sing the words for the hearts that are matched. Repeat. HERE is this idea in use for I…

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2014/02/my-flipchart-for-i-will-follow-gods-plan.html Some day I’d like to upload my flip charts. Maybe. When I have more time (haha, time, what’s that?). Until then, here’s picture of what I drew for I Will Follow God’s Plan: Oh yeah. The last paper is where we did actions. Yep, good times in Primary!

The February Visiting teaching Message is on The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Good Shepherd. I love this quote from President Monson about how it is our responsibility to care for each other. I made a few different versions for the handout, so just click your favorite color scheme to download. It is designed to […]

Downloaded from: http://ldsywideasandactivities.blogspot.com/2014/02/say-yes-to-dress-project-runway-modesty.html This week we had an all-girls activity planned by the Beehive class. We borrowed heavily from the Sisters in Zion blog where I saw the original idea, “Say Yes to the Dress”. We did our activity differently, but the wedding dress making contest idea was the same. Check out the original activity idea by clicking on the photo (from the post on the Sisters in Zion site)…

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2014/02/i-stand-all-amazed.html 1) Divide the song between the classes (everyone sings chorus). Give each class a slip of paper with their line to sing. Have each class stand when it’s their turn to sing. By the chorus, everyone is standing and everyone sings the chorus. 2) Switch what class has what line and repeat.
