I felt terrible after this lesson today. I can honestly say that this is the first time I was glad to see the kids go. Yesterday I backtracked and did 2 Samuel 7 and 9. I had accidentally swapped Bathsheba/David/Uriah thing with today’s reading when I spoke with the class about the reading, and so I went back to do this section of scripture. Today I taught the beginnings of 2 Samuel. We started out class by having some of the kids who either didn’t have time or who didn’t follow the instructions complete their work on the scroll. This week is a weird one. The kids are off Wednesday and Thursday for exams. I think I mentioned earlier that I am treating this section in Judges and Ruth like a biographical examination of some of the heroes (and losers) found in these passages of scripture.
