Downloaded from: http://seminarymoments.blogspot.com/2014/03/alma-14.html Had the class read Alma 14Then handed out a Scripture Mastery card to each one of them. They had to read the scripture, then tell us how it applies to what we learned in Alma 14.Every one of them managed to tie their scripture in with the lesson. It was an awesome moment to hear what they each shared.I would recommend you try it.

Downloaded from: http://nwseminaryshare.weebly.com/home/articles-of-faith-scripture-mastery-book-of-mormon Learning Scripture Mastery is useless unless they can use the verses in situations in life. Downloaded from: http://nwseminaryshare.weebly.com/2/post/2014/02/alma-43-62-lessons-in-spiritual-warfare.html I recently presented to my teachers ideas for teaching the War Chapters. While giving lesson ideas, I wanted to demonstrate how quickly you could go to some key verses, give a good “Look for”, follow up with good questions, and then have the students come up with good “Take Aways” that you hope would stick with them. The text in Red is what I might invite…

Downloaded from: http://nwseminaryshare.weebly.com/2/post/2014/02/helaman-3-7-pride-cycle-glue-in.html Here is a simple glue-in to teach about the pride cycle in Helaman and 3rd Nephi. Often when teaching the storyline in Helaman, I would stop them and point to the Pride Cycle and ask, “Where does it seem like the Nephites are on the cycle right now? Where are the Lamanites on the cycle?”. It is also good to ask them were the country is right…
