Downloaded from: http://aprimarysingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/07/families-can-be-together-forever-part-ii.html I’m very excited to do my “Families Are Our Greatest Treasure” singing time tomorrow. I found some really cool things to share, including a patch my grandfather wore in WWII. I am also adding THIS wonderful build-a-temple tool from The OCD Chorister to teach the song. You add a piece for each part of the song you teach. Thanks, Erin, for your great graphics!!

LESSON:- “Sealed” Lesson: figures and temple pic in ziplock bag– Eternal Ring: A wedding band is a symbol of Eternity because a ring goes in a circle and never ends. The kind of marriage they want is kind of like this ring. An eternal one – one that does not end. The kind of marriage you can…

Downloaded from: http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2013/07/song-families-can-be-together-forever.html Reader Melinda says: Just in case someone else is having trouble printing… not all of the pages showed up when I printed from the Google Doc on-line, but when I downloaded the entire file to my computer they were all there. I hope that helps. I’m finding Google Docs a little unpredictable. If anyone has another service to suggest, I’ll look into it. 1. Print the document…

Downloaded from: http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2013/07/review-families-can-be-together-forever.html To review this song, I want to be sure that they understand the concepts. I, therefore, plan to ask the children “Who, What, When, Where, Why, How” questions about both verses. Print the following questions. Read the first question aloud, sing the first verse, and ask a child whether he or she heard the answer to the question in the song. Continue with each question.1. WHERE do…

Downloaded from: http://aprimarysingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/06/eternal-family-tool-box-families-can-be.html The second week of July, as we continue to learn/reinforce the principle of eternal families, I plan to use a lesson plan from the Crazy Chorister HERE. I’ll summarize below just in case she ever takes her site down, but want you to know this is not my idea, though I did adapt it! – Bring a large toolbox from home. If you don’t have one, get…

Downloaded from: http://aprimarysingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/06/families-are-our-greatest-treasure.html July’s song is near and dear to my heart. We’ve sung it as a family during multiple occasions throughout my life, including when my grandfather died. It was one of his favorite songs. Sometimes we don’t truly appreciate our family. We argue, we annoy each other, and generally tend to take one another for granted. Teaching them about the importance of family is something I feel is…
