Here is a handout I made to go with the Seminary lesson for Exodus 32. Following are the quotes, etc, that are included: IDOLATRY loving the creation more than the creator “Let us here observe, that three things are necessary in order that any rational and intelligent being may exercise faith in God unto life and salvation. “First, the idea that he actually exists. “Secondly, a correct idea of his…

I made this handout to accompany my teaching of Genesis 6-8. The top part is an explanation of how it was a blessing for the Earth that God destroyed the wicked in the flood. The second area is a blank for the students to write how they have overcome storms in their lives with God’s help, like Noah. The third section is so that the students can look up the…

I used this handout when I taught Daniel 2 to help students understand the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream. The image is from the Institute manual. Here’s how I taught Nebuchannezzar’s dream.

This handout contrasts Jesus Christ and Satan. The idea is that we should know our enemy and his tactics so we can defeat him. I used this with Isaiah 14, but you could use it during any plan of salvation lesson, really. Answers included in the PDF of the same name.

The original Magic Squares document by Janice Lee Griffith Tate is available at the old http://si.lds.org/ in the CES Conferences Section under Old Testament. Here’s a link: http://www.ldsces.org/old-testament/conference/ Problem is, the motions that go with the magic square are not described in the handout. I have a copy of one that a friend gave me, and I have created this handout that includes text to describe the actions. You should…

I used this quote with my Seminary lesson, but it would be great for any lesson around Christmas time. The quote reads: “This Christmas, mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand. Examine your…

Okay — the lesson for Leviticus 1 seemed pretty boring. Even really boring. And I just didn’t want to cover all that blood and such in class because I have a tendency to faint, so instead, I made this handout based on the chart in the Institute Manual pps 162-3 and the 5 points in the Seminary lesson manual. To use this, each student will need one handout (Tabernacle Offering.pdf)…

These water bottle labels have a picture of the Savior along with the scripture in Joshua 1:7 and a quote from President Monson. I used an Aquafina bottle 16.9 oz.

Mike K. shared this simple game based on Moroni 10:5. Before you pass out the game, cut out the letters for Holy Ghost and write the numbers 1-9 on the backs. Let the children match the numbers to the ones on the handout, and paste. Makes a great FHE activity, too. 1 handouts per page, 8.5 x 11 inches, color.
