Why We Rejoice
Why we rejoice – Friend March 2005 – by Ronda Gibb Hinrichsen
Note: You will need three narrators (or you may choose to have many children act as narrators). If possible, use pictures from the Gospel Art Picture Kit (GAK). The songs below are suggestions. You might consider other songs or hymns focusing on the Savior.
SONG: “Beautiful Saviorâ€

I’ve added photos and references where I could find them.

You may want to try the forums at
There is a monthly handout with ideas that fit the weekly themes for music and sharing times.

Thanks for the compliments! I hope that the website is helping you in your calling.
Yes, I did create the clipart myself, and the font name is Scriptina. (I’m assuming you’re talking about the picture shown in the link above, not the I Love to See the Temple coloring sheet, which uses Arial Black)
You can download Scriptina from daFont.com:

Here are some links you might use a references

I’m not qualified to answer a question about this, and probably, neither are most people who view this forum.
In light of the recent letter from the First Presidency, doctrinal questions like this one should be asked to your Stake President. Your Stake President will have lots of experience answering questions like this one, and he can refer you to Church published articles on the subject and also contact the YW General Board or Priesthood Office to help you answer your girl’s questions.
If I were you, I’d call your Stake President quickly, so that you could get any instruction from him before your next YW class. Good luck!

I knew I had collected this activity information somewhere!
This is from a young woman whose mutual had a 6 month’s worth of activities based on stories from the Book of Mormon. It sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to get youth excited about reading.

After much travail, it seems the site is back up and stable. Sorry for all you who were trying to get your lessons together Saturday :(

We just sang a BEAUTIFUL arrangement of the Primary song “If the Savior Stood Beside Me” in choir today and the sheet music says the URL
has that song and others for download free.
The site ROCKS! It even has recordings of the arrangements for you to listen to!

Hmmm — this is a good question. I didn’t know that we were supposed to use a certain kind of chalk! Learn something every day.
I don’t know anything about the chalk the Church uses, and I couldn’t find anything about it at the Distribution Online Catalog. But here are some other links:
Chalk holder — with one of these you wouldn’t have to worry about the calcium content and could use the nubs that come from the library.
Dustless Chalk and Holders – this chalk is described as dustless and doesn’t leave ghosting, which would be nice to help keep the boards cleaner.
I can’t find anywhere that lists a percentage of the calcium carbonate (which is chalk) compared to other minerals in it. Let me know if you find out the answer to this one!

I emailed the user who submitted this idea in the activities database for a copy of her skit, but she hasn’t replied to me yet. I’ll be sure to let you know when I get it posted here for download!
