You can do a bag lunch very cheaply. You can do cut-out sandwiches (use a cookie cutter to cut a shape out of the center of the top piece of bread. The filling then shows through, so if you do pbj and use strawberry jam and a flower cutout, for example, you get a red flower sandwich. Use the cutouts for other small sandwiches.) Then get packaged cookies, small water bottles, etc. from Sam’s Club. They can all be packed ahead of time and should average about $.50-$1.00 per lunch based on your choices. You can also do pizza and veggie sticks pretty easily and inexpensively. Or do “bite-sized” foods and let children choose: pretzels, cheese cubes, ham cubes, baby carrots, grapes, apple wedges, etc. They can be pre-measured in dixie cups and the children can take what they want. There’s less waste because the kids choose their own food.

I think you are remembering a song by Barry Mannilow…only it’s one “voice” singing in the darkness….then expands to many voices singing in the darkness. It might not work for your needs, but is still a really great song. Here are One Voice Lyrics:
Just One Voice,
Singing in the darkness,
All it takes is One Voice,
Singing so they hear what’s on your mind,
And when you look around you’ll find
There’s more thanOne Voice,
Singing in the darkness,
Joining with your One Voice,
Each and every note another octave,
Hands are joined and fears unlocked,
If onlyOne Voice
Would start it on its own,
We need just One Voice facing the unknown,
And then that One Voice would never be alone,
It takes that One Voice. It takes that One Voice.
Just One Voice
Singing in the darkness,
All it takes is One Voice,
Shout it out and let it ring.Just One Voice,
It takes that One Voice,
And everyone will sing! -
I recently found how to get this sheet music. It is not available for sale anywhere on the internet.

We can make and send to you an original copy of this song(s). The cost is $2.50 for each copy that we make.
If you already own a copy and wish to make photocopies, we have for purchase “Authorized Photocopy” stickers. You will need to purchase one sticker for each copy of the song you wish to make. You put one sticker on the first page of each copy of a song. The copies with the stickers on them are “legal” copies, and may be kept as part of your music library. We do not offer the option of making photocopies without fee. The cost is $2.50 for the first photocopy of each song and $.75 for each additional photocopy (example: you need 5 copies of one song. You pay $2.50 for the first and .75 for the remaining 4 for a total of $5.50)
If you wish to make photocopies, we need the following information:
1. Your Name, address and contact information including phone number.
2. Name of the songbook & writer of the song.
3. The title of each song and the number of copies you wish to make of each song.Once we receive this information from you via email, we will process your request. We will mail you an invoice for the copies along with the stickers. Payment is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice. We accept payment by check, which should have the invoice number printed on it.
Please make your full order all at once. We get hundreds of requests, and readjusting those for everyone gets very overwhelming.
Thank you!

* write the sisters’ names on the announcement handout so you’ll know who has gotten one and who hasn’t.
* a big poster of activities/announcement sitting the front of the primary room
*take a binder to each of the nurseries
* keep in good contact with the primary presidency
* have a quick briefing of R.S. announcements with whoever is conducting in primary that Sunday so they can pass along announcements
* don’t plan your bulletin during Sunday School – come to church with all announcements and bulletins ready b/c announcements in Primary happen at the beginning of “Sunday School” time
—hope this helps! From the view of a long time members of a primary presidency and nursery teacher and primary teacher :) -
Hello! I am trying to connect to Clue – the murder mystery dinner link. However, it says I am not authorized to view the content. I don’t see a link to sign in or register. Can you send me the details for the game??

I went to a primary training meeting with the gerneral primary presidency in 2009. We asked them this exact question. They said, “Boys and girls have different needs. The programs are not the same because their needs are different.” As my son gets older I understand the wisdom in this counsel. Boys and girls are different and therefore have different needs.

I agree with the suggestion of fabric instead of paper. Holes are so much easier to hide. I have to add that ribbon makes a wonderful edger. I’m in primary now and used a red fabric with blue gros grain ribbon, it looked really sharp.

Can you post the pattern
