Downloaded from: http://aprimarysingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/04/song-bowling.html When I was first called as the Primary Music Leader, I picked up a bowling set at DI . . . but tonight remembered we have an INFLATABLE large bowling set that will be much easier for the kids to see. Must use! I wanted to do more than just line them up in a straight line and have the kids aim for one (with a…

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2013/03/split-primary.html To keep them singing after they’ve learned a song, split your Primary in half. When you hold up a #1 on your finger, only the number one’s sing. Same for number twos. Alternate who is singing as you continue with the song. Alternate fast and get them laughing. They’ll pay attention and learn to follow the conductor.

Downloaded from: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/PattiesPrimaryPlace/~3/Rw1TwKxX7I0/resurrection-easter-eggs-singing-time.html The Resurrection of Christ….the greatest event to ever take place for us….I have SO loved this idea since getting it once in Relief Society in a lesson on the great sacrifice of our Savior and His Atonement. I have used this around the Easter dinner table in my family. I’ve used it teaching teenagers in Sunday School and in a Family Night. And I’ve reused it in…

For many of you, the title of this post will have no relevance – you have totally “got” this calling: you have the kids eating out of your hand every week, they love everything you do, and when they see you in the halls or the grocery store or in…

Downloaded from: http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2013/03/rainy-umbrella.html image sourceHang paper raindrops from an umbrella. Put song names on the rain drops. When a child picks a raindrop put in on the board in a circular motion and it will become petals of a flower (on a stem already taped on the board). Bring a spray bottle filled with water and if the children are singing well make it rain on them! Fun Spring songs:…

Downloaded from: http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2013/03/billion-clicks.html Are you part of the “Billion Clicks” movement yet? It was started by LDS singer/songwriter Hillary Weeks. She’s not asking for donations or volunteers. You don’t get added to mailing or e-mail lists. You don’t have to sign up for any kind of service. All you do is think happy thoughts! As someone with OCD and bipolar disorder, it’s something I work on everyday anyway. Do something…

Downloaded from: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/PattiesPrimaryPlace/~3/nYbAU-yHr84/march-singing-time-ideas.html St. Patrick’s Day is coming up SOON! This is one my favorite months of the year. My family were all IRISH! And my mom was an Irish Catholic. We REALLY celebrated St. Patrick’s Day every year. I remember dinners where she would actually give us kids a bit of wine with 7 up to toast to some of her favorite SAINTS. Those are happy memories of sitting in the…
