Each student is given a sheet of paper and a pencil. There is to be absolutely no talking (or else they start giving clues to each other about what they will write) and no looking at a neighbors paper. Explain to the students that you will give a SM reference and they are to write down any 5 words from that scripture. No using scriptures or cards or bookmarks, etc….

Divide into teams. One student comes up and teacher hands him a SM card. He must draw a picture to represent that SM while his team guesses the reference. (Can be timed if needed.) Pass out 3X5 cards and have the students prepare clues for quizzes. Quiz ideas: Have each student choose three important words from the scripture they own. Mix up the cards and teacher reads off the clues while students write the references. SM shapes. Each student writes out the entire scripture they own on a card. Tape a piece of paper with the key words onto the ceiling. Give a treat to the first student to notice it and a treat to the first student who shouts out the reference. (or finds it in their scriptures).
