Jennifer H. shared this thought handout that talks about what might happen if we treated our Books of Mormon more like cell phones. Very cute.
Jennifer says, “[This] is a thought that has been circulating on the Internet. I took it and added some graphics to make it a little handout. We are challenging the girls to read the scriptures for just 5 minutes a day. Each month we give them little calendars to keep in their scriptures. They mark the days that they read for at least 5 minutes a day. At the end of the month, they hand in the calendars to receive a little reward. Each Sunday, one of the leaders shares a little thought, scripture reading experience or testimony about reading in the scriptures. We also encourage them to share experiences they have had in reading for themselves. The hope is that just the act of opening their scriptures for 5 minutes a day will help them to form the habit of reading the scriptures. It also helps them to gain their own scripture reading experiences, and to gain their own testimonies of the scriptures.
