I need help in keeping the children reverent while they are waiting to come to Primary Sharing Time. Ten minutes seems short but it goes by fast.

It sounds like lots of people are having the same trouble:

I hope other users will share their tips — I’m not serving in the Primary right now and don’t have any direct experience with this yet.

we still have the kids use the restroom & get a drink if needed. then we alternate between journal writing & singing: one week they come into the primary room & sing or hum along with the prelude. the next week they pick up their journals (notebooks they decorated in January & stacked in class totes outside the door–labeled) & write about their lesson. Or they can write about anything church related. we also have a few suggestions on the board.

we remind them that we are getting ready for sharing time & everyone needs to do their part to invite the Spirit into our Primary.
