I was recently called to be Primary President in our ward. We are wanting to focus on reverence and feeling the Spirit this year. One of my counselors had an idea, that my other counselor is strongly opposed to. I feel a bit stuck in the middle and could use some imput. She thought we could have a roll of tickets or small papers that we pass out to the teachers. When they see someone being reverent they can quietly pass a paper to them, then they would get to put their name on it and drop it in the bowl after primary. At the end of each month, one name would be pulled out and a reverence award presented (not sure yet what this would be). I can see both sides of the argument and I’m just looking for feedback . The one thinks it would be great to remind them that reverence is something we are always working towards, and the other one thinks that to reward for reverence is not the right way to go about it. Thanks for any imput!
