Downloaded from: http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2013/01/song-i-am-child-of-god.html Teach the second, third, and fourth verses of the song I Am a Child of God, using the front of each page, which depicts literal representations of the lyrics. Then turn the pictures over, one at a time, teaching the real meaning of the lyrics you’ve learned. Ask the children whether you’ve turned all of the pictures over. Downloaded from: http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2013/01/activity-animals.html I use these cute animal pictures for two things. 1. Singing Old Mac Donald in Nursery2. Learning the melody of a new song. Before we learn the words, we sing the tune in the “language” of one or more of these animals. For example, if the child chooses a sheep, we sing “baa, baa, baa” instead of the words.

Downloaded from: http://ocdprimarychorister.blogspot.com/2013/01/activity-teaching-whole-family.html I want my primary children to take their songs home and teach their families. Downloaded from: http://teachldschildren.com/2013/01/i-am-a-child-of-god-song/ I Am a Child of God – Song Preparation Items Needed: balloons, and a bag or container. Print the flipchart pages. Verse Two Most of the children in primary know the first verse, so I started with the second verse. Downloaded from: http://aprimarysingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/01/i-am-child-of-god-snow-search.html On the 13th, I decided it was time to buckle down and really teach the month’s song (though we had sung it the previous week) – “I Am A Child of God”. I adapted a few ideas from HERE and came up with this snow-themed activity: For opening, we sang “Once There Was a Snowman”. At the beginning of singing time, I talked about how COLD it…

Downloaded from: http://ohwhatdoyoudoforsingingtime.blogspot.com/2013/01/heavenly-fathers-plan.html Here are a few ideas for weeks 2 & 3, “Heavenly Father’s plan is a plan of happiness.” 1. Wrap gifts containing songs you would like to sing. Have a child come up & open a gift. Sing the corresponding song. 2.
