I am so glad I stumbled onto this site. Thank You for taking the time to share it with us. You will be blessed.
I am having a brain freeze on this Months sharing time. I must involve my class and can think of nothing to do. Please help me if anyone has any ideas. Thank You very much. and Happy New Year, 2006
P.S. I have the sharing time on the 15th -
I wish I could help you, but I’m serving in the RS right now. Hopefully someone else will read your post and will have some ideas to share!
God Bless You!

I came here looking for ideas too. My counselor is going to spraypaint stones w/ glow in the dark paint and talk about the brother of Jared for her sharing time.

I have the Valiet 9 class and we have to do Sharing time the last Sun. of the mo. Mine will be about Jesus is the light of the world.
I am gathering up various items that give light, such as a lightbulb, match, candle, flashlight, a picture of the sun and the moon. I will give an item to each child from my class and have them bring them forward to show. The last child will be holding the scriptures. I will ask all senior primary,”What do these things have in common?” They give light. How does the scriptures give light? Answer. As we read them they light our path as to which direction to follow, which road to take, because Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
Next we will role play. 1. Have two children arguing, touching and nagging each other.
Ask Are these children following the light? after each skit.
2. Have a child with a tithing envelope handing it to the Bishop.
3. Show a homeless person walking by two children that are pointing and laughing.
4. Now show the same two children giving money to that same homeless person.
5. Show a child praying on their knees.
6. Show a child brushing another childs hair.
7. Show a child reading scriptures.
8. Show a child drying the dishes.
You get the idea.
Next read a couple scriptures or have your class read some about Jesus being the Light of the world. Hope it helps! -

P.S. I have the sharing time on the 15thYou definitely need to stick w/ the monthly/weekly themes established in the Sharing Time Outline. The Friend magazine has more than one idea printed in very fine print on the back of the initial monthly theme. For the fifteenth you should be teaching the third weekly gospel principle in the outline. Stick with those, use the examples of the scriptures to tell stories and examples of the Lord’s promises directly from the scriptures. Use your GAK (gospel art kit) pictures. Those are definitely approved resources for primary! Hope this was helpful. All these references are available on the LDS.org website.
