#scripturemastery8v2n3 Last week we started our official mastering and memorizing of the scriptures using the ideas by Bro. Bushman. My class knocked D&C 1:37-38 out and I just love singing that one to Choose the Right… so we did that and all got it memorized. This week we’re working on D&C 8- I don’t like the tune that the Sons of Ammon use so I said we’re just going to memorize it using repetition and writing and other techniques… they were so sad and were wishing for a tune so I said well we could or should be able to pick another tune…and bam “let us all press on” came into my mind so I said let’s see if this works. I’m happy to say it totally works!! If I could figure out a way to write down how we did it so it made sense I would… I can tell you that the second “behold” is the start of the chorus and when we’re finished singing the verses we sing the reference repeating “verses 2-3″… it works for us – you just have to get a rhythm down but we liked it and I feel like I got help from above to have that hymn pop in my head.

You need to try LDS Scripture Rock. They have one for that scripture that my class loves!Amy Jones Griffeth

With all of the changes in Scripture Mastery scriptures, the Scripture Rock CDs only have about half of the songs and the way he ends stanzas in the middle of a sentence makes me insane. LOL1
